What are some healthy snacks my children can eat?

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, cheese is one of the healthiest snacks that promotes healthy teeth. It provides healthy amounts of calcium and does its part in fighting cavities. Cheddar, Swiss, Mozzarella and Monterey Jack cheeses stimulate the salivary glands in the mouth to assist in clearing the mouth of food particles and acids that weaken the teeth. Therefore, eating cheese disrupts the advancement of cavities, especially when eaten as a snack or at the end of a meal. Additionally, calcium and phosphorous in cheese reduces the PH level in plaque that can erode the enamel on the teeth.
